Can't you see, that you are sweet, so let me love you so~
Welcome to my website! I will be using this site to host pictures of my model kits, interesting games, and my writing.
So. It's been a while, huh?
Feels like... very little has changed. World's still been shot to shit, everyone's still stuck inside, and I'm still playing video games instead of keeping this site updated. This blog update is brought to you by COGMIND, the roguelike customizable robot game by Kyzrati, or Grid Sage Games. It's got some great design all around, from visual, to sound, to gameplay! It's pretty damn addicting, with some great variety in equipment to upgrade yourself that allows for a pretty wide variety of gameplay styles. One run I'm playing as a tank, crushing other robots under my treads, blasting open walls with a grenade launcher. Another, I'm slinking around, quietly digging holes through the walls, firing rays of heat so powerful they melt the weapons right off enemies that manage to find me. It's great fun for fans of robots, roguelikes, and systems-based gameplay.
On top of a large number of roguelikes, I've been trying to get some more reading done. So far I've finished a good number of visual novels, greatest among them The House in Fata Morgana. To keep things brief, it's a set of tragedies that individually could work as a wonderful standalone play or short novel. It is some of the most earnest and touching pieces of writing I have had to pleasure of reading, and I highly recommend you buy it at whatever price it's listed as. It's worth it, promise.
Right now, I'm about to start Tactics Ogre, which I hear is a really great strategy game! Let's hope that Square Enix can make something worthy of its legacy with Project Triangle Strategy! Anyway, let's hope I don't leave this site untouched for as long as I did till now. Stay safe and have a good one friends!
Hey y'all, hope you've all been doing well. I've been holding out alright, though I haven't had any motivation to really add to the site or really do much of any productive... Anyway, I've been playing Persona 4 Golden after years of being absolutely obsessed with it. I've played Persona 1,3, and 5, and it's great to finally play the game I connected with most as a kid.
Probably more uniquely, I've been playing a great series of visual novels written by Digital Poppy and illustrated by MezmeroMania, after finding her by chance through their hand-drawn adventure game Parsnip. I've absolutely fallen in love with all the great characters, especially the main character of many of the games, Trixie Glimmer Smith. The dialogue of all the games is sharp, the humor is great, I'd highly recommend picking up The Testimony of Trixie Glimmer Smith! As of writing, the game is currently available for $4.20 (nice) in this bundle along with the sequel, Three Lesbians in a Barrow, which features, among other things, lesbians, a barrow, and some spooky horror stuff! Oh, all of these stories are cosmic horrors, so if you're not a fan of horror then read with caution. Overall though, these games have been a great break from the neverending haze of depressing crap that's been filling every aspect of our daily lives, and I'd highly recommend checking them out if you're a fan of queer characters, horror, good writing, or rats! Oh, and if you bought the Bundle for Racial Justice and Equality, you should have access to all the games I mentioned!
Have a good one and stay safe out there reader. Until I update again!
Recently, life has been a blur of the same schedule, everyday. I'm on spring break right now, and while I normally would be out and about with friends, buying model kits and eating cafe food, current global events have crushed any hope of an eventful break. Anyway, I found out on Twitter that SD Gundam Gaiden - Knight Gundam Monogatari--also known as SD Gundam Story - Knight Gundam Legend--has been translated into English by aishsha and Pennywise, and it's been a great game to break the monotony of life during quarantine. It's a JRPG very influenced by Dragon Quest, featuring a pretty well known fantasy RPG story (the princess has been kidnapped!) with Gundam characters! While mostly pretty standard as a JRPG, the Gundam spin on everything is refreshing and cute! I'll be sharing more thoughts (and a small list of info about spells, items, and other stuff in the game) in the game section. Hope you're all doing well and staying safe!
It's been a while since I've updated! I've been a bit busy with schoolwork, Animal Crossing, and writing to really work on my site, but I've got a little bit of time right now! Right now, between daily stuff in AC, I've been playing Final Fantasy 7 for the first time on my PS1 Classic. As someone who's played up to FF6, this one's a great return to the series for me! I've got up to the flashback in Niflheim, and I'll probably play a bit more later, so maybe I'll make a page for updates on that! Anyway, hope you're doing well, especially given things that have been going on.
I spent a crapton of time just playing Animal Crossing today.
I've only been playing for about a day now, but It's been a ton of fun! The game's got a of depth, and there's a lot more stuff to do when compared to New Leaf. Since we're supposed to be on voluntary quarantine, Animal Crossing is gonna be a decent way of keeping in touch and "hanging out" with friends. I hope things are going well, reader!
Today, this website was born.
Frankly, I have no idea how to use html, so I've just used this template. I spent about 2 hours fiddling around with html but it's clear I'm more of an arts guy than a sciences guy, y'know? Hopefully, I'll gradually get better! I remember how to do basic stuff like adding text and images correctly!
I'm Rivam! I'm a 21 year old college student/writer/model hobbyist. I spend a large portion of my freetime watching, writing, and thinking about anime. My favorite anime are Mobile Suit Gundam 0080: War in the Pocket, FLCL, Serial Experiments Lain, and Paranoia Agent.
